Teddy Filoteo

Teddy Filoteo hails from somewhere in the pacific where fishermen still cast their nets into the ocean. In his childhood, he grew up listening to Vintage Rock and Motown music and was introduced to the music business watching his uncle play with his band in his bellbottoms singing Bridge Over Troubled Water.

In elementary school, he experimented with drums but did not pick it up fast enough. When his father brought home a '75 patina cream Les Paul Custom, Teddy had found his voice.

Teddy can be a technical player, but he describes himself as simple and very much blues based. "I love the roots of this music and that it is not confined by theory. I'm willing to bet Muddy Waters did not know any music theory, but just kept within the boundaries of what sounded good to his ears."

His influences include the not always recognizable names of blues players from the past as well as Stevie Ray Vaughn and Nuno Bettencourt. This background suits well with Time Machine and the many genres they cover.

With his former band, Next2Nothing, Teddy shared the stage with national acts such as Firehouse, Foghat, and Great White.

Teddy's guitar playing and music background is very much compatible with Time Machine. It will be exciting to see the chemistry that will generate from this project!
